DNAME - Non-Terminal DNS Name Redirection
Return to FAQ/Help System menu
A DNAME-record is used to map / rename an entire subtree of the DNS name space to another domain.
It differs from the CNAME-record which maps only a single node of the name space.
You can use the DNAME-record in the Raw form only on our servers.
The format in which to enter the data is as follows:
Raw form:
@ 86400 DNAME domainredir.com.
Where @ is the root zone name, 86400 is the TTL and domainredir.com is where to redirect to.
